Recording advice

Do you offer a money – back guarantee?

Of course. After receiving your deposit, we can send you fragments (samples) of the final mix. If you are unsatisfied and wish to discontinue our collaboration, we will offer a money-back guarantee. However, this does not apply to the scenario in which the final mix was sent to you in its entirety, upon complete payment of the service.

What is a mix/master revision?

A revision is a reasonable number of minor modifications brought to the mix – E.g. Instrument or effects levels (E.g. More reverb on the vocals, kick drum too low). Major changes will be charged extra (for example, changing the guitar tone via reamping). Thus, we kindly ask our clients to give us as much info as they can beforehand, together with a reference mix or even their own mixed version.

How many revisions are included in the mixing price?

The mixing price includes 2 revisions.

Will my song also be mastered?

We always offer a mastered version alongside the final mix at no additional cost. The final mix should be used when collaborating with an external mastering company in order to have it analysed and perfected objectively by one or more professional mastering engineers, in a dedicated mastering facility.

How long will it take to receive the final version of the song?

Depending on the number of tracks and songs, the deadline will be set together with the customer(s) beforehand.

When do I pay?

The payment (up-front or in installments) must be made after the price is set and before work on the material starts.

How do I pay?

For the moment, the only accepted payment method is bank wire.

Can we sign a contract?

We can sign a contract. Regardless, we will send you the invoice and assure you that we always respect our commitments towards our customers.

How do I send my tracks?

We highly recommend reading our advice regarding online mixing here
and recording here
Normally, the tracks must be sent in WAV file format, 24 bit/44.1 kHz or 24 bit/ 48 kHz. Please upload the tracks onto file sharing websites.

Do I get discounts?

Yes. That is why we advise contacting our studio for offers. We regularly provide discounts for projects that: contain a higher number of songs, have also been recorded at our studio or contain well-recorded tracks that do not require extensive processing.

What genres do you mix?

Here at Grand Way Studios we mix almost every genre (pop, acoustic, rock, metal, rap, orchestral etc).

ADR, Voiceover?

Besides music, we also offer ADR/ Voiceover services for commercials, film, radio etc.

When do the audiosession projects get deleted?

We strive to store your project and a backup indefinitely, however we can guarantee that it is stored for a minimum of six months after completion.

May I credit Grand Way Studios for my mix/master?

Sure! Although it is not mandatory, it is highly appreciated!
